Matilde (Matilda De Angelis) lives with her mother Laura (Donatella Finocchiaro), who is drowning in severe financial debt, leading to the impending foreclosure of their home. To bail her mother out, Matilde works part-time in online camming/porn and ultimately decides to put her virginity up for auction on a live online platform. Ernesto (Alessandro Haber), a wealthy, middle-aged married pharmacist, places the winning bid. What begins as a purely transactional commercial exchange evolves into a complex psychological and emotional entanglement between the young woman and the older man.
