Womb is a 2010 German-produced sci-fi drama directed by Benedek Fliegauf and starring Eva Green and Matt Smith, in which Rebecca clones her beloved Tommy after he is killed in a freak accident — bearing his clone herself and raising him as her own son from infancy to adulthood. As clone Tommy grows up, Rebecca struggles with her deeply conflicted feelings — part mother, part lover — and when Tommy eventually discovers the truth about his origins, the two consummate their relationship before he walks away, leaving Rebecca alone on the beach — pregnant once again with his child.
