Winterherz is a 2018 German TV drama directed by Johannes Fabrick in which 17-year-old Finn is hit by a car driven by aspiring judge Maxim Vollert late at night, who leaves him at a bus stop thinking he was unharmed — but Finn dies from internal injuries. His older brother Mike, a police officer consumed by grief and guilt, begins hunting down the culprits and crosses paths with Maxim's wife Sylvie, who was in the passenger seat that night and is tormented by her own guilt — and despite Mike holding her partly responsible for his brother's death, the two end up sleeping together, blurring the lines between revenge, grief, and desire.
