Per (Lars Mikkelsen) is a bitter, harsh caretaker in a rundown apartment block whose wife has abandoned him and whose addict son, Carsten (Peter Plaugborg), has recently returned from prison. While inspecting a vacant unit, Per finds a naked, mysterious, and completely mute young woman (Julie Zangenberg) floating above the floor. He takes her in, soon discovering that she possesses supernatural healing powers through sexual and physical contact. As Per gradually opens up emotionally, his opportunistic friend Viborg (Nicolaj Kopernikus) begins exploiting the girl's miraculous abilities for other sick men, leading to ethical conflict, jealousy, and tragedy.
