Directed by Haik Gazarian, this historical romantic drama is set in Venezuela during World War II (1942) and is based on real events involving the country's strategic supply of oil to the Allies. The story follows Frank Moore (Alfonso Herrera), a young American communications expert sent to a remote coastal village to safeguard the radio signals of oil tankers against German U-boat attacks. While operating under high wartime tension, Frank meets Venezzia (Ruddy Rodríguez), a beautiful local woman suffering from severe hearing loss who is trapped in an unhappy marriage to a high-ranking, abusive Venezuelan army officer. An intense, dangerous romantic relationship quickly develops between the two, operating right under the husband's nose amid espionage and paranoia.
