Following a tragic car accident that takes the lives of her parents, 19-year-old Leah (Sara Matos) sinks into deep grief, completely abandoning her passion for painting and closing herself off from the world. Concerned for her well-being, her older brother Oliver asks his best friend, Axel (Maxi Iglesias), to let Leah temporarily move into his home. Axel, who is older, grounded, and a close family friend, takes Leah in to help her piece her life back together. As Axel encourages her to paint again, the line between protective guardian and romantic attraction blurs into an intense, forbidden romance.
