Engaged to be married, Ollie (Jan Oliver Lucks) and his fiancée Zoe (Natalie Medlock) decide to set up a "monogam-ish" contract before their wedding day, opening their relationship up to consensual outside sexual partners, threesomes, and polyamory. What begins as an optimistic exploration of sexual freedom quickly decays as emotional boundaries erode. While Ollie navigates hookups, Zoe falls genuinely in love with another man (Tom), leading to deep jealousy, broken rules, and the complete dissolution of their engagement. As the film progresses, it reveals a secondary meta-narrative structural layer: Ollie reenacted key moments of his actual failed relationship using an actress to piece together the breakdown of trust.
