Luc (Logann Antuofermo), a young provincial artisan aspiring to join an elite carpentry school in Paris, meets Djemila (Oulaya Amamra) at a bus stop during an entrance exam trip. They initiate a passionate brief romance, but after returning to his hometown, Luc reconnects with his high school girlfriend, Geneviève (Luàna Bajrami). When Geneviève becomes pregnant, Luc abandons Djemila entirely. Moving to Paris permanently for his studies, Luc soon abandons Geneviève as well and begins a volatile relationship with Betsy (Souheila Yacoub), an unpredictable young woman who eventually leaves him for another man, forcing Luc to face his pattern of emotional betrayal and non-commitment.
