Twelve-year-old Selma (Julia Krohn) believes love is a dangerous disaster, having lost her mother during childbirth. Convinced that romantic feelings only lead to chaos—a view supported by her Aunt Nora's (Ane Dahl Torp) tumultuous, repeatedly cancelled engagement—Selma makes a pact with her friends to avoid boys and focus strictly on science and winning a Nobel Prize. However, her stance is challenged when her friends break the pact, and she meets Andy (Bernhard Naglestad), a boy who shares her curiosity about the world and forces her to confront her fear of falling in love.
