Blurring the lines between reality, illusion, and a movie-within-a-movie, the story follows Nami Tsuchiya (Mai Kitajima), a popular actress. In her personal life, her actor husband Yosuke (Toshiyuki Nagashima) is carrying on an affair with a younger actress, Junko (Mikage). Distraught by his betrayal, Nami spirals into a self-destructive double life, posing as a prostitute at night and engaging in encounters with random men. As Nami gives a lengthy interview to a reporter named Katsuragi (Naoto Takenaka) about her latest film role, the narrative reveals increasingly distorted layers: the "movie" she is making mirrors her real-life marital crisis, but it is eventually revealed that Nami has suffered a psychological breakdown and is in a mental institution after taking violent revenge on her husband and his mistress, while "Katsuragi" is actually her treating psychiatrist searching for the truth behind her delusional state.
