Tesis sobre una Domesticación is a 2024 Argentine-Mexican drama directed by Javier van de Couter, based on the novel by Camila Sosa Villada, in which a celebrated transgender actress with a past in prostitution marries an attractive but emotionally flat gay lawyer and adopts a six-year-old HIV-positive boy — seemingly completing the perfect domestic life she always dreamed of. Behind the carefully constructed facade however, she cannot fully suppress her voracious nature — seducing men around her while her husband turns a blind eye to the daily theater unfolding in their home, with raw, explicit erotic scenes at the center of the story. When the couple returns to her conservative hometown in Argentina, the tension between the freedom that defines her and the domesticated happiness she is trying to sustain finally reaches its breaking point.
