Set in the Mexican town of Tequila during the 1940s where traditional honor is paramount, Antonio (Unax Ugalde), a respected young landowner, falls deeply in love with Lola (Daniela Schmidt). Lola is the young wife of Antonio's powerful uncle, Don Vicente (Salvador Sánchez). Frustrated and sexually dissatisfied with her significantly older husband, Lola plunges into a passionate, secret extramarital affair with Antonio. As their illicit encounters grow more intense, a web of local gossip, jealousy, and blackmail—compounded by a butler's daughter discovering their secret—threatens to unravel the affair, forcing Antonio to choose between his family honor and escaping with Lola.
