Kris Williams (Hannah Einbinder), an ambitious queer filmmaker, is hired to direct a reboot of the long-running slasher franchise Camp Miasma. Fixated on bringing authenticity to the project, Kris seeks out Billy Presley (Gillian Anderson), the reclusive, former actress who starred as the original film's "final girl" and now lives isolated at the abandoned summer camp where the movie was shot. As Kris enters Billy's surreal, storybook world to collaborate on the project, the dynamic between the two women quickly spirals into an intense, psychosexual frenzy of delirium, obsession, and horror.
