Stilema is a 2021 Italian drama directed by Roger A. Fratter in which Aurispa, a former intellectual senator in the twilight of his life, retreats from the world with his beautiful young wife Daria, determined to spend his final days consuming what little time he has left with her in an obsessive, all-consuming relationship. The film is deliberately unconventional — dense with Pasolini references, philosophical dialogue, and deeply unsettling intimacy — as the two exist in a private world of their own making, with Daria's disturbing binge-eating episodes and Aurispa's existential decay painting a portrait of a relationship that is as suffocating as it is passionate.
