Anna Malá (Eva Podzimková) starts out as an ambitious waitress working in the Czech Parliament's canteen. Guided by opportunistic journalist Ivan Krčka (Pavel Batěk), Anna learns to navigate the corrupt inner workings of high-level politics. She eventually catches the eye of married Culture Minister (and future Prime Minister) Tomáš Vichr (Jiří Vyorálek). As Anna becomes Vichr's mistress and Chief of Staff, she leverages her beauty, ambition, and emotional hold over him to control access to the Prime Minister's office, leading to an explosive affair, abuse of power, and a public scandal that causes the government to collapse.
