Johanna enters a passionate extramarital affair with corporate manager Dirk Dewinter (Florian Fitz), unaware he is married to the head of the pharmaceutical empire where she is hired as PR chief. When a clinical trial for a new drug turns fatal, Johanna covers up the data to protect her lover, only to discover Dirk is a ruthless sociopath who has framed her to take the fall for corporate manslaughter while he plots to steal his wife's company.
