Savannah Delongpre (Melinda Clarke), a successful New York runway model, travels back to her small hometown in Georgia to escape the intense pressures of the fashion industry and visit her wealthy, controlling grandmother, Belle (Louise Fletcher). While staying at her family's historic estate, Savannah visits Two Moon Junction—a swamp property owned by the Delongpre family—where she encounters Jake Gilbert (John Clayton Schafer), a rugged scrap-metal sculptor and drifter living on the land. Despite the long-standing feud between their families and stark social differences, Savannah engages in a passionate erotic affair with Jake. When Belle discovers the relationship, she attempts to bribe Jake and summons Savannah's possessive ex-boyfriend, Robert Lee (Yorgo Constantine), to buy out the property and evict him. Ultimately, after confronting her grandmother's manipulations, Savannah departs for New York with Jake by her side.
