In the Polish short drama Restart, Janek, a dedicated medical intern burdened by severe debt, works tirelessly at a hospital while attempting to secure an impending cardiology residency. Facing immediate eviction, he agrees to cover a colleague's off-the-books house call to administer an IV drip—a process known as a "restart"—to sober up a wealthy, intoxicated businessman named Marek. However, the routine visit turns volatile when Marek's wife, Magda, becomes intimately involved with Janek during the encounter. Entangled in their manipulative marital tension, Janek is pushed into making a risky choice to protect himself. The resulting fallout severely threatens his hard-earned career, medical future, and personal integrity.
