Toko Muranushi (Kaho) appears to lead an enviable life as a stay-at-home mother, living in financial comfort with her husband Shin (Shotaro Mamiya) and their young daughter Midori. However, beneath the surface, Toko feels stifled by her domineering, passive-aggressive husband, an overbearing mother-in-law, and the loss of her former career ambition as an architect. At a social gathering, Toko unexpectedly reunites with her former lover and university classmate, Akihiko Kurata (Satoshi Tsumabuki). Akihiko reignites her passion, encouraging her to restart her architectural career at his firm. As Toko enters into a passionate extramarital affair with Akihiko and navigates advances from her colleague Kodaka (Tasuku Emoto), she begins to reclaim her autonomy, forcing her to choose between the societal expectations of marriage and her own personal freedom.
