Andrea Rosso (Luca Argentero) is a skilled officer in the Italian foreign intelligence service (AISE) operating in war-torn Afghanistan. To secure a high-stakes deal with a powerful local arms dealer, Farouk Rashid (Olivier Loustau), Italian intelligence agrees to bring Farouk's wife, Rania (Saadet Aksoy), and their deaf-mute daughter Fatma to Rome for safety and medical treatment. While protecting Rania in Italy, Andrea enters into an intense, illicit romance with her.
