Sara (Adriana Fonseca), a young woman from the provinces, goes to the beach on vacation and meets Marcos (Luis Fernando Peña) at an extravagant party. Although Marcos falls for her, it is his older brother Fernando (Ismael La Rosa) who ends up romancing and dating Sara, unaware of his younger brother's feelings. When Fernando brings Sara home to meet his family, Sara and Marcos realize their connection, triggering a fierce rivalry between the two brothers as both attempt to win her over, leading to secret betrayals and an eventual tragedy.
