Parejas is a 1996 Mexican drama about different forms of love in which two pairs of close friends celebrate their weddings together — and as the night fills with alcohol and emotion, boundaries blur and feelings get dangerously confused. Running parallel is the story of a prominent businessman living what seems like a perfect life — a beautiful lover, a promising new job, and plans to have a child with his partner — until his partner discovers that he has been cheating on her, forcing everyone to confront whether love can survive guilt, betrayal and the complicated choices people make in the name of desire.
