Mikael (Ville Virtanen), a rigid and overprotective judge, raises his son Tilda (Lauri Tilkanen) alone following a bitter divorce. Years later, after his ex-wife dies, Mikael's estranged daughter Laura (Pihla Viitala) comes to live with them. Having grown up completely apart, the two young adult siblings quickly form an intense, unusually close bond. Paralyzed by suspicion and convinced that their relationship has crossed into an incestuous romance, Mikael grows increasingly unhinged, resorting to extreme and manipulative measures to keep the brother and sister apart.
