Oggetti Smarriti is a 1980 Italian drama directed by Giuseppe Bertolucci in which Marta, a wealthy bourgeois woman, abruptly abandons both her husband and her lover and spends a day and night wandering aimlessly through Milan's grand Central Station — lost, disoriented, and in the middle of a deep identity crisis. During her solitary drift through the crowds, she crosses paths with Werner, a handsome and unconventional foreign stranger, whose presence forces her to confront everything she has been running from, while the film uses the station's restless, transient atmosphere as a mirror for her own fractured inner world.
