Noble Savage is a 2018 Israeli drama directed by Marco Carmel in which 15-year-old Eli, struggling with an eating disorder, lives in a rough Tel Aviv neighborhood between his recovering addict mother Sima and her new boyfriend Yefet on one side, and his alcoholic, eccentric father Yom Tov on the other — and as Eli desperately tries to hold his broken family together, a deeply disturbing incident occurs when his own mother crosses a sexual boundary with him, an assault she later reduces to a casual footnote in her own recovery story, leaving Eli shattered and invisible to the very people who were supposed to protect him.
