In rural East Germany (Mecklenburg), 24-year-old Christin (Saskia Rosendahl) lives on a dairy farm with her long-term boyfriend, Jan (Rick Okon), and his family. Trapped in a bleak, loveless relationship and stifled by the isolation of small-town farm life, Christin numbs her frustration with alcohol. Her routine shifts when Klaus (Godehard Giese), a 46-year-old wind turbine technician from Hamburg, arrives in the village. Seeking a way out of her stagnant environment, Christin initiates a physical affair with Klaus, triggering further disruption in her personal life and relationship with Jan.
