Arthur Boysen (Robert Atzorn), a successful and driven stockbroker, leads a high-powered life while taking his marriage to Julia (Suzanne von Borsody) for granted. When Arthur is diagnosed with a terminal nervous system disorder, he hides his condition and turns to neurologist Dr. Hendrik Levi (Heikko Deutschmann) for an experimental, unapproved gene therapy. Discovered by chance, his secret illness forces both Arthur and Julia to confront their strained marriage and re-evaluate their love amidst life-threatening stakes.
