Max Simon (Nicholas Guest), an American writer living in England, travels with his children and newly hired nanny, Rosa Marques (Ana Padrão), on a trip while his wife, reporter Antonia (Jocelyn Broderick), is away on assignment. Away from his wife, Max enters into a passionate extramarital affair with Rosa. However, when Max refuses to abandon his marriage or leave his wife for her, Rosa's affection turns into unstable obsession, leading her to kidnap the children in retaliation.
