Set in a quiet Northern Italian town during a freezing winter, Massimo (Riccardo Scamarcio), a high school literature teacher, lives an unassuming, routine life with his wife Clara (Maria Chiara Giannetta). Their predictable existence is shattered when a captivating new neighbor, Laura (Mariela Garriga), moves into the apartment next door.
