John (Phillip Roebuck) takes his teenage son Jesse (Elliot Liedgren) on a wilderness camping trip into the remote forests of eastern Washington. Intending to instill discipline, self-reliance, and traditional values, John's strict parenting style creates underlying friction between father and son. As they venture deeper into the woods, their excursion devolves as they encounter surreal, hostile, and erotic harassment from mysterious forces and figures inhabiting the wilderness. Forced into extreme survival conditions, John is confronted with his own primal instincts, paranoia, and fragile sense of authority.
