Heraldo (Iago Xavier), a 21-year-old on the run after a botched hit leaves his brother dead and his local gang hunting him down, hides out in a roadside love motel in Ceará. He takes a job as a janitor under the motel's controlling and abusive owner, Elias (Fábio Assunção). Dayana (Nataly Rocha), Elias's younger, frustrated wife, takes an immediate interest in Heraldo. As their mutual attraction escalates, Dayana and Heraldo enter into an intense extramarital affair and conspire together to escape Elias's abusive grip and build a life away from the motel.
