Montana is a 2017 Israeli drama written and directed by Limor Shmila in her debut feature, in which Efi returns to her hometown of Acco after her grandfather's death and is reunited with her grandmother, aunt, and uncle — old wounds immediately resurfacing from her long absence. She meets Keren, the married neighbor with children, and the two women fall into a secret lesbian affair. As their relationship deepens, Efi's encounter with Keren's young daughter Maya slowly unravels the buried family secrets that drove Efi away years ago — turning what began as a love story into a painful reckoning with the past.
