Directed by Ulrich Köhler, this minimalist German drama follows Nina, a doctor who seems to have a perfectly stable, comfortable middle-class life with her partner Frieder and their young daughter in a newly renovating suburban house. However, suffocated by the silent, monotonous routine of her domestic existence, Nina suddenly and inexplicably packs a small bag and walks out on her family without a word of explanation. She retreats to a secluded hotel in the nearby woods, wandering aimlessly and drifting through encounters with strangers as she searches for an elusive sense of freedom, leaving her bewildered partner to manage their fractured household and the looming structural shifts of their unfinished home alone.
