Jeanne (Noémie Merlant), a 27-year-old French woman, travels to Romania with three friends to celebrate her upcoming bachelorette party ahead of her wedding to her fiancé back in France. However, shortly after arriving, their car and passports are stolen, leaving them stranded in a rural community. There, they are taken in by a local Roma family, including 17-year-old Nino (Gimi Covaci). Despite the language barrier, stark cultural differences, and her impending marriage, Jeanne forms a deep emotional and sensual bond with the younger Nino.
