In the isolated, fog-covered mountain town of Lefki, the brutal murder of a young teenage schoolgirl rocks the local community. Irene (Katia Goulioni), a police detective sent to lead the investigation, discovers that the killer stages crime scenes using macabre, ritualistic tableaus directly inspired by Francisco Goya's dark masterworks, "The Black Paintings" (Pinturas Negras). As the killer continues targeting victims in a race against time, Irene collaborates with local officers and a forensic expert (Sofia Kokkali). The investigation systematically unravels the small town's deeply entrenched network of secrets, corruption, domestic abuse, hidden extramarital affairs, and local power dynamics.
