Set in São Paulo during the 1970s Military Dictatorship, Vicente (Marcos Winter) is a repressed film censor working for the authoritarian regime who lives an unfulfilling life married to Isabel (Maria Luísa Mendonça), the daughter of a powerful military general, General Souto (Paulo César Peréio). While reviewing the softcore pornochanchada film A Estudante Quente, Vicente becomes obsessed with its lead star, Dora Dumar (Simone Spoladore). Driven by his fixation, Vicente crosses into São Paulo's movie-making district (Boca do Lixo) to meet Dora and join the production team alongside producer Manolo (Adriano Garib), leading him into a double life filled with illegal filmmaking, political danger, and extramarital passion.
