Set in Puebla, Mexico, during the early 1910s amidst the onset of the Mexican Revolution, Emilia Sauri (Renata Vaca) aspires to defy social norms and become a doctor. Her life is complicated by her feelings for two distinct men: her adventurous childhood friend Daniel Cuenca (Juan Pablo Fuentes), who joins the revolutionary effort, and Dr. Antonio Zavalza (Iván Amozurrutia), a calm physician who returns to Puebla and supports her medical ambitions.
