Keve (Keve Hjelm), a successful yet disillusioned Swedish film director, experiences a severe artistic and existential crisis while staying at his coastal summer home with his wife, Ann-Mari (Ann-Marie Gyllenspetz), and their young daughter. Feeling alienated from his family and paralyzed by creative doubt, Keve engages in short-term extramarital affairs—including a passionate relationship with Inger (Inger Taube), a married woman who is also seeking emotional connection away from her spouse. As Keve interacts with colleagues, actors, and lovers, he struggles to reconcile his artistic ideals with the realities of his personal relationships.
