In the suburbs of Rome, three teenage friends—Simona (Asia Argento), Claudia (Claudia Pandolfi), and Morena (Carlotta Natoli)—navigate adolescence and personal struggles. Claudia aspires to be an actress/model and dates older men, while Morena studies nursing while caring for her ill mother. Simona is withdrawn and harbors a dark personal secret: she is trapped in an abusive household where her father (Michele Placido) subjects her to incestuous abuse and control. When Simona meets and falls in love with a young man named Lucio (Enrico Lo Verso), her father attempts to sabotage the relationship, escalating the tension to a tragic outcome.
