In the 1920s, three female Basque pelota players—Chelo (Zuria Vega), Idoia (Claudia Salas), and Itziar (María de Nati)—fight to make a name for themselves in a sport and society dominated by men. As their professional success grows across Spain and Mexico, they must navigate abusive family dynamics, rigged sports gambling rings, societal expectations, and hidden personal infidelities while striving for control over their own lives and desires.
