Sergej (Marko Mandić) and his mentor Polde (Janez Hočevar) execute a burglary targeting the estate of a retired WWII-era general to steal a valuable painting titled Landscape No. 2. During the heist, Sergej impulsively loots a hidden safe, taking cash and a sensitive document detailing post-war mass execution atrocities committed by former regime officials. Desperate to suppress the document before it leaks, the general hires a ruthless assassin known as "The Instructor" (Slobodan Ćustić) to track down the thieves and silence everyone connected to the theft.
