Dolores (Claudia Rojas), a passionate and determined Cuban woman, arrives in Madrid, Spain, hoping to reunite with her lover, Lázaro (Roberto San Martín), who emigrated earlier. Upon her arrival, she discovers that Lázaro is missing and has drifted into the dark underbelly of drug addiction, petty crime, and incarceration. Alone and struggling to survive in a foreign city without legal status, Dolores takes on various jobs to make ends meet and find Lázaro. Along the way, she crosses paths with several men—including Franco (Francesc Orella), a mature and settled lawyer, and Santi (Álex O'Dogherty)—navigating complex emotional and sexual dynamics while clinging to the hope of rescuing her erratic lover.
