Koński Ogon is a 2023 Polish experimental drama loosely based on the Oedipus myth, set in a decaying small town full of buried secrets, in which Diana returns home after years of absence — confused, lactating mysteriously, and haunted by memory lapses — while the main suspect in a nearby forest murder, Maj, forms an unusually tender bond with Dagmara, the young daughter of the victim. The film's darkest and most disturbing thread is the mother-son incest between Diana and Maj — beginning as forced incestuous rape before crossing into something consensual — rendering the Oedipal myth in its most raw and literal form.
