Marie and Bogart operate an eatery (carinderia) along a busy highway that acts as a front for sex work, catering primarily to long-distance truck drivers and passing travelers. Young servers like Eva and Lolit sell sexual services inside the establishment to earn money and survive economic hardship. Lolit maintains a cohabiting relationship with Arturo, a hardworking jeepney driver who tries to earn a decent living to pull her out of commercial sex work. However, mutual desperation, financial pressure, and surrounding temptations lead to covert physical affairs, transactional betrayals, and romantic decay within the group.
