Set over a 24-hour period inside and around an establishment in Tokyo's red-light district, the film follows Tōru (Shōta Sometani), a former luxury hotel employee turned love hotel manager. Tōru lies about his position to his aspiring singer girlfriend, Saya (Atsuko Maeda). Across various rooms, multiple intersecting lives unravel: Saya attempts to trade sexual favors with a music producer for a record deal; a middle-aged cleaner (Kaho Minami) lives with a fugitive husband (Yutaka Matsushige); a married female detective (Aoba Kawai) engages in an affair with a colleague; and a Korean call girl (Lee Na-ra) struggles with her relationship with her boyfriend.
