Jak Chutná Smrt is a 1995 Czech-Slovak crime thriller directed by Milan Cieslar, based on an unpublished short story by Ladislav Mňačko, in which Robert — a promising young Olympic marksman — snaps under the crushing pressure of his overbearing, ambitious father Karel and shoots two traffic policemen. As detective Morton investigates the crime, the dysfunctional family background slowly unravels — Karel's marriage is in deep crisis, and the investigation reveals that both father and son had been involved with the same woman, a model named Daniela, making her the shared mistress of both men and adding a dark layer of betrayal to an already shattered family portrait.
