Driven by dreams of financial success, Ah Ming (Chan Lit-Man) and his girlfriend Xiao Ling (Kwok Suet-Ting) pay a human smuggling syndicate to illegally cross from mainland China into Hong Kong. Upon arrival, they are trapped by the snakeheads, who demand extortionate fees for their passage. To settle their debts, Xiao Ling is coerced into working in the underground nightlife and sex industry. As Ah Ming descends into low-level crime and gang violence to free them, Xiao Ling is caught between abusive syndicate enforcers and dangerous clients, leading to betrayal, moral degradation, and fatal consequences.
