Alina (Alba Parietti), an independent art gallery director in Palermo, suffers from emotional neglect and physical fatigue due to her husband Daniele's (Lorenzo Majnoni) frequent absences as a traveling orchestra conductor. Diagnosed with anemia, she visits a local butcher shop where the charismatic, raw butcher (Miki Manojlović) begins making overt sexual propositions. Overwhelmed by desire, Alina enters into a intense, secretive extramarital affair with the butcher while her husband is away on tour.
