The real-life Hotel Pula serves as a crowded refugee camp housing people displaced by the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Among them is Mahir (Ermin Bravo), a 38-year-old Bosnian refugee who has spent years in the hotel, emotionally hollowed out, carrying unhealed psychological scars from his past. His monotonous existence shifts when he meets Una (Nika Grbelja), a local 22-year-old Croatian woman caught up in the city's vibrant, rebellious punk scene. Despite the heavy atmosphere around them, an intense and meaningful romantic connection sparks between the older, traumatized refugee and the young woman looking for direction.
