Natalia (Ingrid García-Jonsson) and Carlos (Carlos Rodríguez) are a young, unemployed couple in their early twenties living on the urban periphery of Madrid during the height of the economic crisis. Lacking money, career prospects, or independence from their families, they attempt to earn quick cash by making an amateur pornographic video for a local contact. Shortly after, Natalia becomes unexpectedly pregnant. As they decide to have the baby, financial pressures force Carlos to seek construction work in Germany, leaving Natalia isolated in Spain to raise their child while navigating economic stagnation, family strain, and long-distance instability.
